Description

PIA is an abbreviation from the English language and stands for Part Inspection & Approval.

The training leads through the entire workflow of initial sampling according to VDA 2. You will receive an introduction to the production process and product release procedure, learn how to create parts or part families, how to plan sampling, how sampling must be carried out and which requirements must be met for series release.

Aim

Participants understand the importance of exchanging information for series release and can operate the IT-System PIA independently.

• Roles and tasks in the PIA system
• Basics of the PIA system
• Supplier information for global initial sample release
• Planning to the proofs to the release process
• Plant a production part or family of parts
• Creating a release report

Prerequisites for participation

Participants are familiar with sampling procedures for customers.

All employees who are involved in the processes required by Mercedes-Benz

Qualification Certificate

After passing the learning test, participants receive a qualification certificate. The learning test consists of 20 multiple-choice questions.
