The objective of this course is not only to train the participant in the CQI guide, but also to teach him/her the importance of sub-tier supplier management, what is done in each of the Stages of the Supplier Management process and guidelines for doing so.

In August 2011, the AIAG, the OEM group and direct suppliers identified the need to develop a guide to assist in supplier management that will provide them with components that meet the quality standards required in the automotive sector. They found that suppliers did not have all the resources for supplier selection and development, nor did they have experts to assist in this process.
The AIAG in conjunction with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers developed the guidance for the Sub-Tiers Supplier Management (Sub-Tiers) process which was published in 2016 and provides information on the activities to be performed at the different stages.

Aim

• Reinforce the fundamentals of Supplier Selection, following the CQI-19 guide.
• Participants will identify the different stages for selection.
• Participants will be able to effectively implement different root cause analysis methodologies in their organization to prevent the recurrence of problems.
• Participants will learn the linkages of Troubleshooting to Customer Specific, Legal and Regulatory Requirements and applicable International Industry Standards.

Prerequisites for participation

None

Target audience

Organization personnel involved in supplier selection and development, supplier quality, logistics, planning and administrative areas.
Responsible for the implementation and coordination of the Quality management system, including other management systems.
Team of Internal Auditors and personnel involved in supplier development.

Qualification Certificate

After passing the test at the end of the training, participants will receive a certificate of qualification.
