Yes, the new concept of the VDA allows all trainings and also the VDA 6.3 exam to be conducted online.

Note: We believe that 4 days of training as an online event requires strong concentration and discipline. Empirical studies have also shown that learning progress is significantly worse in online training than in face-to-face events.
Therefore, we recommend the face-to-face event from a duration of more than 2 days.

The validity of VDA 6.3:2023 certificates is 5 years.
After the expiration of these 5 years, the following requirement is necessary for renewal:

• a copy of your valid VDA 6.3 certificate
• Proof of competence for Core Tools
• Proof of audit experience - 10 process audits with a total duration of 20 audit days

This is still possible until 31.03.2023 and the following evidence is required:

• Copy of the existing certificate or auditor card
• Proof of audit experience - 5 process audits with a total duration of 10 audit days.
• Proof of expertise in the Automotive Core Tools

An extension based on the specifications of VDA 6.3:2016 is possible until 31.03.2023.
The certificate is extended for 3 years.

The VDA Core Tools certificate has no validity date. This means that if you have acquired this certificate by participating in the 2-day training or passing the VDA online test, this is always valid.

The new VDA 6.3:2023 is valid from 01.01.2023.

However, since this is always a customer-specific requirement or a company-internal specification, the date of implementation must be determined by the customer or the company itself.

The following evidence is required:

• a copy of your valid VDA 6.3 certificate or auditor card
• a copy of your qualification certificate or your booking confirmation of the training "From VDA 6.3:2016 to VDA 6.3:2023 - Upgrade".
• Proof of competence for Core Tools
• Proof of audit experience - 5 process audits with a total duration of 10 audit days

The following evidence is required:

• Qualification certificate (or registration confirmation) of " VDA 6.3:2023 - Process Auditor - Qualification".
• Proof of a total of at least three days of auditor qualification based on DIN EN ISO 19011 (e.g. VDA auditor)
• Proof of expertise in the Automotive Core Tools
• Proof of at least five years of full-time professional experience in a manufacturing company, of which at least two years must have been in quality management (curriculum vitae in tabular form). From three years of professional experience, company training periods can be taken into account.

Renewal of VDA 6.3 certificates that lose their validity after 01.01.2023 can only be extended if attendance of the VDA 6.3 Upgrade Seminar can be proven.

Attention: the learning control during the seminar must be passed!

The only option is to retake the new VDA 6.3:2023 exam.
