The ISO standard 14001:2015 and EMAS are available for implementing an environmental management system (EMS system). Both can usually be implemented by companies without any problems. However, since the requirements of the ISO standard are completely included in EMAS and EMAS contains additional requirements, the introduction of an UM system in accordance with ISO 14001 generally involves a somewhat lower workload
