GR 202: AIAG FMEA Moderator Training

The moderation determines the correct application of the FMEA method. The quality of the moderation is a success of a Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.

The right skill of a moderation is an huge factor for the quality of the entire FMEA. In this training you will train the moderation of FMEA projects. Building on existing knowledge of the FMEA method and your own practical experience, you will learn effective moderation techniques. With this know-how, you will be able to moderate FMEA team meetings in a targeted manner.

• You will be able to conduct FMEA team meetings in a goal-oriented and methodical manner.
• You will be able to handle critical moderation situations with confidence.
• You will moderate an FMEA along the topics "Special Features" and "Control Plan".

• Basics of moderation
• Moderation techniques, problem solving techniques
• Moderation methods and steps during an FMEA meeting
• Continuous moderation under consideration of special characteristics up to the Control Plan
• Selection and composition of the FMEA team
• Execution of the FMEA moderation
• Confident appearance in critical moderation situations
• Presentation of FMEA moderation results
• Intensive practical training thanks to small learning group

Prerequisites for participation

An FMEA basic training or longer FMEA experience is necessary. At least some years of practical experience in development, quality, project management, testing, or similar is advantageous. Personal basic competences in the area of communication, conflict management, quality, project work and fun with the methodology should be present.

Target audience

All FMEA executor, as well as persons who are in charge of a FMEA in a leading function.

Qualification Certificate

After passing the test the participants will receive a certificate of qualification.
