GR 460 - Mercedes - SMB Supplier Management Base
Description
SMB (Supplier Management Base) consists of the modules SMB general, BBM (demand inventory management) and BKM (demand capacity management).
The aim of BBM is to increase demand and inventory transparency between Mercedes-Benz AG and its suppliers. This is an instrument for demand and inventory management in a defined short-term period.
The BKM (demand capacity management) module compares demand and supply capacity information at part number level (or parts family level) and signals impending demand shortages based on the BKM status ("traffic light") for the coming months.
The course is aimed at purchased parts suppliers of Mercedes-Benz AG who work in the areas of production control, capacity management, sales, logistics and scheduling and have little or no experience with SMB.
